

Anticipation vibrated as the launch blast forced Greg’s head back. Quaking heart, sweated brow, insides mush. His mind drifted to the past.
“See the world for me,” Holly had whispered, her head lulling on a weak neck.
Greg’s eyes had welled with tears and he had taken her dainty hand into his. “I will baby.”
The cabin shook violently; plunging the space shuttle into darkness. Greg’s body lifted, floating with the surrender of gravity. He peered through the porthole, seeing the world as Holly must. And it was everything.
